As Christians, many of us have learned to avoid vulnerability. From a young age, we were taught to put on our best clothes and hide our pain when we go to church. We've grown to see vulnerability as a weakness and fear coming to God with our brokenness. But Psalm 34:19 tells us that God is with us when our hearts are broken and we feel helpless. We don't need to be ashamed to come to Him in our brokenness.
In fact, God often does His best work when we are vulnerable and allow Him to see the parts of ourselves we hide from others. He wants us to let go and let Him be our hero. But many of us struggle with this, preferring to hold onto our issues ourselves instead of trusting in God's plan.
Jesus never taught us to avoid pain, and in fact, facing suffering is essential to developing a mature character. Vulnerability is not a weakness, but a sign of spiritual strength. We must approach God differently than we approach people. He wants us to come to Him in our worst moments as well as our best.

In Philippians 3:12-14, Paul tells us that he doesn't have it all together and that he's still reaching out for Christ. He's not an expert, but he's focused on the goal of following Jesus and is determined not to turn back. Let us follow Paul's example and come to God with our vulnerability and brokenness, trusting in His power to heal and help us overcome our situations.
